Why We Made These Changes

Over the past few months, we’ve noticed growing concerns around the MLM-style marketing and multi-level team rewards. While our initial model helped drive engagement, it also attracted unwanted scrutiny and created confusion among users, many of whom misunderstood the program's structure. This misunderstanding was further fueled by misleading posts on social media and a rising number of ego clashes among users with different expectations of network marketing.

We’ve listened carefully to feedback from our valued users, and after thorough internal discussions, we decided to take a stand for legality, transparency, and reputation. Here’s why:

  1. Respect for Our Reputation
    Malgopay’s reputation is of utmost importance to us. We never want to be associated with anything that could cause confusion or potentially tarnish our name. The increasing association with network marketing and MLM models was not in line with our values. By eliminating the 11-level team rewards, Refer5 Club, and all multi-level compensation structures, we are reaffirming our commitment to clean and legitimate business practices.

  2. Focus on Clean Legality
    One of the primary motivations for these changes is to ensure that Malgopay is 100% legally compliant. We do not want to risk violating laws or being mistaken for a pyramid scheme or MLM. This shift helps us move away from anything that could be misconstrued as an unregulated business model. We’ve ensured that all our operations comply with Indian financial laws, particularly the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act, 1978. We want our users to feel safe and confident using our platform.

  3. Sustainability Over Quick Growth
    A major concern with multi-level rewards and recruitment-driven models is that they tend to become unsustainable over time. When the focus shifts too much towards recruitment and not enough towards product usage and genuine service engagement, the entire ecosystem is at risk. This was a concern we couldn't ignore. Our goal now is to build a sustainable and user-focused platform, where users earn based on real engagement with the app and its core services like recharges and tasks.

  4. A More Transparent User Experience
    Our users deserve clarity. By simplifying our referral system to a single-tier direct referral program and focusing on task-based rewards, we’ve removed the complexities and ambiguities that can arise in a multi-level marketing structure. We’ve also increased the referral reward from ₹200 to ₹250 to further incentivize users for referring others in a straightforward manner. No hidden complexities, just clear rewards for those who actively engage with the app.

What’s Changed?

  • No More MLM Style Marketing:
    We are no longer using multi-level marketing techniques to drive growth. Our new focus is on direct engagement and real product usage.

  • No 11-Level Team Rewards:
    We’ve removed the multi-level team rewards structure, which incentivized users based on how many people they recruited. This system created unhealthy competition and confusion. We’ve shifted to a single-tier direct referral model that rewards users only for referring others directly.

  • Single-Tier Referral System:
    Our new single-tier referral program ensures that rewards are only given for direct referrals, keeping things simple and transparent. We’ve also increased the referral reward from ₹200 to ₹250 to encourage genuine growth.

  • Recharge Limited to One Transaction Per Day:
    In line with our updated policies, recharge is now limited to one transaction per day. This helps ensure that users are not exploiting the platform for commercial purposes, aligning with our goal of making the platform available for individual use only.

For our users, these changes mean that Malgopay will now offer a more straightforward, sustainable, and legally compliant experience. You’ll no longer have to worry about complex recruitment structures or the pressure of multi-level marketing. The new task-based rewards system will allow you to earn based on real engagement with the platform, such as completing tasks, making recharges, and referring others directly.
